How are We Different?
Where do we start??
For starters. . .you won't get the corporate vibe here. That's not 'our thing'.
At ViBergman the difference couldn’t be more stark. We help people buy and sell their homes. That's what we do. And, aside from a cautious guarded respect for regulation, good laws, and expert broker “guidance” (the key word is “guidance” not meaningless policy) meant to protect the public we serve as well as the agents who serve them — our firm does not interfere with our agents’ ability to choose how they sell a home, what they charge their clients, and for what price, among other factors. Those decisions are left up to the agent and client(s). The result is often remarkable, to say the least. This is not to be confused with straight "discount brokerage (although that is not necessarily 'bad')". Time and time again. . .through our tried and tested philosophy and mission statement the agent and the market become more competitive, agents become more diverse in the development of their corresponding marketing plans, have greater control and autonomy over their listing details and terms, work more creatively and often very diligently mostly out of excitement they have the freedom to do so. Homes are sold and bought --- in reasonable and often better timeframes than previously. However, our professional agents are not the only ones who fare well in response to this new dynamic. Home sellers and buyers (the clients) also feel the breath of fresh air our philosophy serves that has been long overdue. Suddenly, sellers are free to set prices for their homes that coincide with personal goals and targets rather than just to figure out how to pay for huge commissions meant to pay the brokerage and that part is felt on the purchasing client side as well. Prices and fees vary, as determined by the agent --- not the corporation. Further, it is our belief that everything anti-trust laws was meant to serve, protect and preserve ----- with a healthy competitive market which ultimately be what lie at the center of all that, willing and capable entreprenuers, like our agents, who have the tools to work in such a mileu, and happy clients who feel they truly did get the "best deal for them" ---- comes into sharp focus. Our goal is that competitiveness among providers like our great agents (and they are great) to produce more diverse standards resulting in better service to our clients at a "competitive" rate hopefully becomes the garden variety of professional agents available to sellers and home buyers alike. And, that’s no small thing. It’s very different. It’s very positive. We love it! We hope you will too!
Our founding brokers lived the garden variety existence of the past working under those-who-shall-not-be-named corporate real estate firms (mainly because that's all that was available): stifling rules, minimums regarding rates charged home sellers, signage rules that seemed to have nothing to do with the clients, floor plan conflicts, excessive fees that cut into agents’ pay and sellers’ profit and so much more painted a broader picture of how all that stifles a more competitive market --- at least in our opinion. You should judge for yourself. We believe rigid and uniform policies such as those can be felt in a ripple right from the brokers, to the agents, to the clients and ultimately, our local and national market in general. If an agent is not given the ability to be competitive and set their own rates and marketing plans and be more creative in doing so, among other pivotal decisions in the best interests of their clients, the market does not and will not remain competitive. It’s that simple.
Now go on —— give us a try! See if agents who can offer a broader more competitive sales marketing plan can make a difference. We think so.
